About the Art
Fusing is the process of heating pieces of glass until they melt together. The glass is carefully heated to 1300-1600 degrees depending on the desired affect. The glass is then slowly cooled to a specific time table appropriate for the type and thickness of the glass. Some pieces may take 2 or 3 firings and occasionally more to achieve the desired results. Before the glass can be fused they must have the same coefficient of expansion (COE). The COE is the rate at which the glass expands and contracts as it is heated and cooled. If they don*t match the glass will crack.    All pieces are food safe, please hand wash.
