Placerville artist Anne Gladwill has taken the style of Grandma Moses to celebrate the seasons and spirit of El Dorado County.

Anne has lived everywhere as an Air Force wife. She graduated from Central Academy of Art in Cincinnati, Ohio. She worked as an illustrator for Gibson Greeting Cards and as a fashion illustrator for various clothing stores in the United States and ending up in Sacramento, freelancing for the Sacramento Bee. Anne went on staff as an illustrator with the Bee in 1978 and worked full time until retirement in 1992.

Anne works in both watercolors and pastels and she is a member of the Placerville Arts Association, the El Dorado County Arts Council and a Signature Member of the Sierra Pastel Society.
